Potatoes in

Rafe was a big help in the garden on Sunday. With his help we got 20 pounds of potatoes planted.

He uses a hand trowel to get the right spacing...

...and sets them in the row.

Matt came behind him covering them. All that was left for me to do was snap pictures...my favorite job :)

...gardening in a white sweatshirt....

:-) Been there, done that.

It's a great feeling to get in the dirt with the kids. Just planted the brassicas today alongside the house in the raised bed (the 'salad bar.')

Thanks for posting. More calf pics! :-)

My clay is so hard I would never be able to get a trench that deep. My potatoes are in potato bags. I hope in a few years to have improved the soil enough to plant potatoes in it.

Where's all the rocks? Must be something to have soil like that.
