See that egg? Front row, third from the right? Every once in a while someone lays a giant egg, and it just makes my hiney tingle.

We got one of those a few weeks ago! It was huge. And looked so painful. The hen didn't lay again for 3 days, I thought we had broken her LOL.
Oh, and it was a double yolker.
Why are the eggs different colors? Is it different types of chickens, or what they eat or what? Do you notice a difference in taste with different colors? (signed, city girl)
Christy - I haven't cracked it yet, hopefully it will be a double yoker!
Rebecca - different breeds lay different colors. I don't notice any difference in taste. In the years I've been selling eggs I've only ever had one person say they thought the blue/green eggs taste "stronger" than the other colors.
