It's Here!
The long-awaited day has arrived - our story in Country Gardens magazine hit the newsstands! I knew it was supposed to be this week, so I actually went to the store looking for it last night. No luck, so I grilled the teenagers working there about when the magazines are restocked. "Tuesdays usually," came the reply (along with a funny look.)
So Madeline and I headed back to the local "Food Pride" grocery tonight:
There it was! Right beneath the National Enquirer.
And there's our story! Yes, I showed it to everyone I knew in the checkout line. And also people I don't know.
And here it is at the checkout, along with the butter we needed for our bacon-chive mashed potatoes tonight.
You just never know where blogging might lead you :)

Congratulations. We will look for it on our grocery trip this week!
Wonder if that is a good enough excuse to leave work RIGHT NOW to go find it - seriously, congratulations. I'll have to stop and pick it up on the way home

That is so awesome. Congrats! You must be excited. I will have to get that mag when I go out!
That's very true!!! I will be hunting for it this week. Great job! I'm so proud of you.

Yay!!!! Congrats Sugar Creek Farm Family! It looks like a lovely spread too! Cannot wait to see it for myself!
OMG!!! How cool is it that we both have articles & photos in a publication in the same month!!! I'm going to the store tonight to get it! Soul sistas indeed! I know, lots of exclamation points, but I'm seriously excited for and proud of you!
Congrats!!! I'll have to snag a copy......
Oh wow! How exciting!
I've never seen that magazine around here. Darn!
Will you post more about the article, with the parts talking about your farm? Please???
I read your blog this morning and later in town while in the store there it was! Had to buy it:} Very cool, just had to have a peice of melon while reading it!!
Kelli - I went and grabbed the magazine at the bookstore. Very cool. Very, VERY COOL. The photos were gorgeous. Whoever did the styling was really a genius, it all looked so wonderful.

Your mom brought it to Elsie's birthday party so I got to see it. I was disappointed they didn't have more photos showing the farm as a whole. But it was cool they showed so many great pictures of the family (where's Matt?). Now I need to get a copy for myself so I can sit down and read it.
My friend, frugalmom, just told me about your place being featured in Country Gardens Magazine. I just wanted to say CONGRATULATIONS and I will look for a copy tomorrow! I'm really excited for you and I don't even KNOW you guys! :-)
Take care, danni (aka Farmgirl_dk)
