You guys are so motivating for us down here in Texas! Jason (aka Kramer) and I talk of you often throughout our day when we dread going outdoors because of the weather.
It has been nasty here all week with rain and slightly cold, but nothing like up there.
We are wimps in Tejas! The minute the temps hit 31 degrees schools close and everything shuts down. Ha! How ridiculous is that?
What kind of hen is standing with the Americauna in the last picture? I bartered for hens and got one in the trade. I have no idea what she is.

Our 13 chickens are the same way with our temps in the single digits here in the mountains of NM.
Silly birds, though. At night, instead of going back inside their henhouse, they huddle up together, smushed against the gate.
I have to go in there at night and pick them up one by one and tuck them into their coop for the night.
Do you think their spoiled, or what?
Maybe they'll want me to draw them a warm bath next! hehe

Lynsey - our high today was about 30 and everybody - human and bovine alike - was loving it!

twinville - you mean you don't draw them a warm bath? I actually do take buckets of hot water out to the hens & ducks when it's this cold. Yep, they're spoilt :)
