Go fly a kite

Nothin' but blue skies, do I see
Isn't that the most gorgeous blue sky?

The hardware store guy got a chuckle out of Olivia, picking out this skull-and-crossbones kite over the pink princess kites and the purple pony kites.

"This kite's for you?"

"Yep."

As kids, EVERY Easter we each got a kite in our basket.

EVERY Easter we went to Grandpa's farm in Greeley, Iowa.

EVERY Easter we'd snag at least one kite in the tall pine windbreak or snap a string and watch it flutter into the sow/boar pen where we were too scared to go.

Thanks for sharing the pics and reminding me. :-)

Haymaker - thanks for sharing your kite memories! Fun! Rafe's was an Easter basket kite, too.

It reminds me of flying kites with my dad at the park.

Your sky is much nicer than ours today. Nothing but rain here .

Greetings from your cousin in CA!

Hi, Kim! You're so sweet to leave a comment!

Thanks, Donna. I just noticed our paper is asking for "spring" pictures so I may send that one in.

Hi, Sonia, thanks for stopping back :)
